Kirby Crawford | Owner

Instructor

Kirby Crawford grew up dancing in her mom's studio, Sue Ann's School of Dance, while taking classes from former Rockette, Stephanie Chase; Tap Legend, Bud Imlay; and Studio Owner, Desiree (Ingwersen) Johnson.  Kirby opened the doors of Kirby's School of Dance in York in 2006 while she was a senior in college and graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 2007 with a BA in Communication.  Kirby has received many awards for her choreography, but most of all loves sharing her passion of dance with her students and dance families.  Kirby enjoys spending time with her husband, Jordan;  stepson, Jackson; and daughter, Charley.

Sue Ann Romohr | Asst. Director

Curriculum Director

Sue Ann Romohr started Sue Ann’s School of Dance in York, NE in 1979.  She has taught thousands of kids the art of dance during her 24 years.  After a short retirement, Sue Ann was back in the studio teaching at Kirby’s School of Dance.  Sue Ann is also a Certified Clogging Instructor and choreographed numerous award-winning dances. In addition to teaching a few classes at the York location, Sue Ann visits both KSD locations to work with students while training teachers with her dance knowledge.

Brittany Kaliff | Studio Manager

Instructor

Brittany Kaliff has been dancing since the age of five and has learned many styles of dance including tap, jazz, ballet, pom, hip hop, and clogging.  She is also certified in Tumbling.  This is her 5th year teaching at KSD. She has a passion for working with children of all ages to help them grow as dancers and individuals. Miss Brittany resides in York with her husband, Holden. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and traveling.

Dana Driewer

Customer Relations Manager

Dana was born and raised in Wisconsin, where she spent thirteen wonderful years dancing. She took ballet, pointe, jazz and tap classes and was also part of her high school dance team which competed at a high level in pom, hip hop and jazz genres. She attended the University of Wisconsin and graduated with a degree in Retailing and Consumer Behavior. Dana and her husband, Brent, reside in Bradshaw.

Betsy Forbis

Instructor

Betsy started taking dance with Sue Ann at age three and competitively clogged with Joel Harrison at Nebraska's Ultimate Dance Force. During this time, Betsy was fortunate enough to travel all over and win several National Championships along the way.  She attended Northwest Missouri State where she taught clogging all four years and was a part of the Northwest Dance Company. Besty is married to Derrick and they have one son, River.

Chandra Berlin

Instructor

Chandra’s background is in childhood education. With her degree in Child Development, she spent several years teaching at a daycare while also utilizing her love for dance by opening her own dance studio. Chandra currently works with YPS-Sixpence as a home visitor and is eager to share her love of teaching dance at Kirby’s. She and her husband, Adam, and their daughter, Vada reside in York.
