KSD has taught our girls confidence, perseverance and so much more all while making sure kids are kids with age appropriate music and costumes. Enrolling our daughter in dance at KSD 11 years ago is one of the best decisions we've ever made. Dance helped our shy, quiet daughter to come out of her shell and grow not only as a dancer but as a person. CONTINUING THE TRADITION
Kirby's School of Dance is "Continuing The Tradition" from when Kirby's mother, Sue Ann Romohr, owned her studio, Sue Ann's School of Dance. Sue Ann's School of Dance was a part of the York community from 1979-2001 providing dance instruction to thousands of students.
Kirby's School of Dance opened their doors in September of 2006 in York, NE focusing on tap, jazz, and clogging. In 2012, KSD expanded to Aurora, NE. Currently, KSD offers classes in Tap, Jazz, Clogging, Ballet, Pom, Hip Hop, and Creative Movement both recreationally and competitively.
Kirby's School of Dance provides a quality dance education in a fun, family-oriented environment while also focusing on "More Than Just Great Dancing" and developing our students into GREAT people.
York Studio
Established in 2006, the York studio has grown steadily. In 2013, Kirby's School of Dance acknowledged this growth with the construction of a beautiful new 5600 square foot location in the York Towne Center. The York location consists of 2 studios, 1800 and 1200 square feet in size, capable of handling large productions of 70 or more dancers.
This location is equipped with dressing rooms, a spacious waiting room, and Wireless Internet access.
